If you are unexpectedly unable to participate in the NN Marathon Rotterdam, you can transfer your bib number to another participant until March 31st. This transfer period applies only to the marathon distance; participants in other disciplines can transfer their bib number until the day before the event.
In short:
- You can transfer your bib number for the marathon distance to another person until March 31, 2026. Bib numbers for other distances are transferable until the day before the event.
- Transfers can only be made through the original owner’s dashboard. Log in to the dashboard using the link in the confirmation email. Then follow the steps under “Transfer registration.” The buyer will then receive an email invitation to transfer the bib number to their name.
- The seller pays €15. This is the exact same amount as the cancellation policy a participant could take out upon registration.
- If you transfer your bib number before March 15, the name on the bib number will also be processed. If you transfer your bib number after March 15, the original owner’s name will be printed on the bib number. In all cases, the new owner’s name will appear in the results, and this participation will count towards becoming a Super Marathon Master.
- The organizers are not responsible for the financial transactions or their settlement between buyer and seller.
Marathon bib numbers are personal. When collecting your bib number, you must present physical identification such as a passport, ID card, or driver’s license. You are permitted to collect someone else’s bib number upon presentation of the owner’s physical ID. Copies, photos, etc. are not permitted.
