For the 45th edition, the NN Marathon Rotterdam courses have been updated. Due to construction work at Hofplein, the finish line will be earlier on the Coolsingel, near the WTC. In addition, some adjustments have been made to the marathon course.
New finish location near the WTC
This year’s 45th edition will have a new finish location on the iconicCoolsingel. While the NN Marathon Rotterdam finished on the Coolsingel near City Hall in recent years, this year all events will finish slightly earlier on the Coolsingel due to the construction work at Hofplein. The finish line will be at Beursplein, near the WTC. The many supporters in the stands will ensure an unforgettable atmosphere at the finish line this year!
Marathon distance adjustments
Besides the change to the finish location, there will be two other changes to the course in Zuid for marathon runners. Participants will experience the first change right from the start: runners will return to De Kuip between kilometers 7 and 11. The atmosphere before De Kuip is further enhanced when the runners take a wide turn back towards the familiar course.
At Oldegaarde, spectators can also cheer on the runners twice around the 20-kilometer mark. The loop around Zuiderpark, often with smaller crowds, has been replaced by a double section through Oldegaarde.
The rest of the course is identical to the previous edition. In Noord, we will continue to run around Kralingse Plas lake, with numerous cheering zones and spectators along the route.

It’s wonderful to see how the team and the Municipality have worked together to make this happen.”

1/4 Marathon Rotterdam becomes 10 km
By moving the finish line, the 1/4 Marathon Rotterdam will be 10 km in the upcoming edition. This gives participants the opportunity to improve their personal best at this distance during the NN Marathon Rotterdam.
The course remains otherwise identical. After starting on Burgemeester van Walsumweg, participants will run a scenic loop around Kralingse Plas lake. They will then pass under the Cube Houses before turning onto Coolsingel for their finish.
Saturday Courses
The Coolsingel will remain the vibrant centerpiece of the event on Saturday. Thousands of supporters are expected to give walkers, children, and runners a festive welcome on the Coolsingel!
