All available starting tickets for the marathon distance of the NN Marathon Rotterdam were sold out in a record time of just two and a half hours. Rotterdam will welcome more than 17,000 marathon runners on April 13, 2025.
The NN Marathon Rotterdam has been the most popular marathon in the Netherlands for years. The previous edition sold out after a week and 35,000 runners had already expressed their interest in this edition. From the moment registrations opened, thousands of entries came in. Within two and a half hours all available bib numbers were already allocated. “It is almost incomprehensible to us that the NN Marathon Rotterdam sells out within a few hours. Given the great popularity of the event, we will continue to talk to the municipality of Rotterdam and the services involved to give more runners the chance to experience #demooiste in 2025,” says Wilbert Lek, Director of the NN Marathon Rotterdam.
Other distances
Registration for the Business Runs is still possible. Registration for the other competitions will open this fall. More information will be shared via the NN Marathon Rotterdam channels as soon as registration opens. In addition, there is the option to participate through the KWF Kankerbestrijding initiative ‘Run against Cancer’. If you register for the full marathon via KWF and raise at least €750 in sponsorship money before January 13, 2025, KWF will buy your bib number and you will receive the unique Run against Cancer shirt. Your participation directly contributes to a better life for people dealing with cancer. Update 21-8: these bib numbers are no longer available.
